How Much Does It Really Cost To Elope?
August 14, 2023 — For Couples · Elopements
This is your life… your love… in art form
When your smile lines are more pronounced. When life has written more chapters. When you want to remember where it all started. You'll reach for these photographs.
Let's capture the kiss me again butterflies, the palpable energy between you two, and just how easy it feels for you to love one another.
That’s me—Abbigayle. Here to catch your feelings and give them back to you in one of a kind photographs.
I wouldn’t blame ya if you were surprised that all of these poetic vibes come from a midwestern girl that wears a fanny pack, jams out to Mt. Joy, and uses finger guns unironically.
But hey, life is a heck of a lot more fun when you aren’t trying to fit yourself into a box. It makes room for experience, experimentation, and expression. And I’ll be damned if your photos don’t reflect that too.
“She has a way of really seeing people. Being genuine about capturing them. And honoring their uniqueness.”
TAKE IT ALL IN
How the tears roll down your lover’s cheeks and past their smile.
How your grandpa wraps a blanket around your grandma's shoulders.
How your joy and slight glances to each other speak a thousand words.
After the candles have all burnt down and your dress is unbuttoned and you’re overflowing with euphoria—you’ll settle into bed with the love of your life knowing that you made the most of every single moment.
And later on you’ll have photographs full of breath, movement, and love. Photographs that move you as much as the day itself.

There are not enough glowing words to describe Gayle. She's a true artist and an incredibly kind human. Gayle made us feel comfortable from the very first conversation to engagement photos, helping us create a wedding day timeline to the big day itself. As for the photos themselves, us, our friends, and our family couldn't be happier with how beautifully she captured our love. We could go on and on about her and her work, but TLDR: pick Gayle as your photographer!!”

Working with Gayle was a fantastic experience. I’ve got to say one of the best part of working with her is her warmth and easy going presence. She was helpful both in guiding us and also allowing us to be creative. She also encouraged us to laugh and be goofy which produced some of the best candid shots I could ask for. She was able to give us sneak peeks within a day or two of our wedding and our final edited galleries were BEAUTIFUL.”

Gayle was such a JOY to work with! She did our engagement and wedding photos and we were so happy with the amazing work she did! It was our first time in front of a camera as a couple, and Gayle was so great with us! She had us do small things during our photo shoot to capture true and authentic moments between us. We can't thank her enough and we are still so glad we went with her from the beginning; she had so many great tips along the way with amazing resources. "

Newport Oregon
You know that warm fuzzy feeling? The one where your heart feels on fire & you feel an overwhelming sense of love and passion? This is the energy that I felt immediately after doing this styled elopement shoot for Daz & Falute.
We were able to organize this shoot to be in one of the most beautiful locations that I have ever seen, Devils Punchbowl located near Newport, Oregon. Although the weather was quite windy that day, that didn't stop us from capturing the most insane views and most gorgeous sunset.
Pacific City
It was a warm, bright and sunny day and it was time to venture off to our destination location at Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City, Oregon along the Oregon Coast. To be honest, this shoot was sort of intimidating seeing as shooting in direct sunlight can pose some challenges but the end results were out of this world! The mix of water, sand and rocks at Cape Kiwanda truly made this such a beautiful location to shoot at and I can't wait to go back and create even more magic.

Tom, Jackie and I had planned to drive up to this absolutely insane waterfall up at Abiqua Falls in Portland, Oregon. According to everything that we read, the journey to this waterfall was going to be a breeze and we could drive right on up - little did we know that this was NOT the case.
After a few left and right turns and rounding a corner we finally saw the water coming down the cliff (yay!) - we sighed as our hike was completely worth it and we finally made it to our destination spot!
Oregon Coast
If you're someone who enjoys adventure, spontaneity and fun, eloping may be right up your alley. Eloping is all about the intimate and special moments between you and your significant other and this amazing elopement with Marissa + Justin was everything I could have imagined and more.
If you're ever in Oregon, a huge bucket list destination has to be God's Thumb which is along the Oregon Coast. A little bit of a hike is a small price to pay once you reach the edge of this amazing scenic mountain!
As an elopement photographer in Oregon, I've had the pleasure of capturing some of the most intimate and special moments of couples who have decided to elope in this beautiful state. Elopements are becoming increasingly popular, especially in the wake of the pandemic, as couples are opting for more intimate and personal celebrations.
One of the first things that couples need to consider when planning an elopement in Oregon is obtaining a marriage license. It's important to know that you will need to apply for the license at the county clerk's office and that there is a mandatory waiting period of three days before you can get married.
Once the waiting period is over, couples can choose a location for your ceremony. Oregon has a plethora of beautiful and scenic locations that make for stunning backdrops for elopement ceremonies. From the Oregon coast to the Cascade Mountains, the possibilities are endless. As an elopement photographer, I love to help couples find the perfect spot that aligns with their vision and style.
Oregon recognizes a wide range of individuals who can officiate weddings, from judges and justices of the peace to religious leaders and other authorized individuals. I can recommend trusted officiants who have experience with elopements and can make the ceremony personal and meaningful.
You will need to file your marriage license with the county clerk's office to make your marriage official. Once that's done, you'll receive your marriage certificate, and I'll deliver your beautiful elopement photos that capture the magic and beauty of their special day.
