Beatriz & Paul
I think Beatriz and Paul are the definition of the universe bringing two souls together. Paul, who was born in Detroit, Michigan and Beatriz who was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil met by fate and transformed their relationship into a forever love story. Seeing two people merge two different cultures together for their wedding day was definitely a sight to see, and one I will never forget.
royal park hotel
For Beatriz and Paul, finding the perfect wedding venue was absolutely necessary. Together, they needed to find something that fit both of their needs and wants. After looking and visiting five different wedding venues, they both fell in love with the Royal Park Hotel. That same week, it was booked.
The Royal Park Hotel is located in Rochester, Michigan. This wedding venue is the perfect definition of elegance and class and really ties together everything that Beatriz and Paul were looking for in their wedding day. With glass chandeliers, an Italian marble gallery, royal grand ballroom and even an outdoor pavilion. It truly gives off such a timeless and classic feel, while still feeling modern. You can read more about the Royal Park Hotel and their amenities for weddings & events, here.
getting ready
All of the days festivities were held at the Royal Park Hotel. In the morning when I arrived, Beatriz and her bridesmaids were getting ready in their bridal suite. Together, we spent the morning enjoying a few laughs and capturing a few detail photos of Beatriz and Paul's invitations and absolutely GORGEOUS florals. I died and went straight to heaven.
Then I met up with the Paul and his groomsmen as we took a few portraits of them getting ready downstairs in the library that the Royal Park Hotel has. The library was absolutely breathtaking and I was completely obsessed with this entire hotel already.

FIRST LOOK
In the hallway of the Royal Park Hotel are these large windows from floor to ceiling. It brought in so much natural light, Beatriz, Paul and I were stunned. Of course, this had to be the spot for us to witness Beatriz and Paul's first look moment. First looks are always those exceptionally emotional moments but in the best way possible. It may be a moment you may not feel that it will be emotional until the time comes. Whichever it may be though, be prepared and bring along some tissues.

PORTRAITS
Thanks to our well thought out timeline, we actually had planned to have all of their portraits done prior to the ceremony. In turn, this saves you SO much time and is a lot easier on you and your guests. However, each wedding timeline is subjective and different for each and every couple.
After Beatriz and Paul's first look we wandered throughout the Royal Park Hotel, soaking up all of its beauty. Outside they have a beautiful garden area where we took a good majority of their couples portraits along with their wedding party and family formals. It wasn't long until we made our way back inside for the ceremony.

CEREMONY
Beatriz and Paul had their ceremony in the Belgium Glass Conservatory at the Royal Park Hotel. Covered in windows from floor to ceiling, the lighting that was in this space was immaculate and so beautiful. Since the majority of Beatriz's guests spoke Portuguese, and Paul's spoke English I witnessed something I had never seen before. While the officiant was speaking, they actually had a translator as well. All of the guests who couldn't speak English wore headphones as the translator spoke into their ears with perfect communication. It was the perfect opportunity to blend both cultures and families and made everyone feel loved and included. I loved that they did this.

RECEPTION
As to be expected, Beatriz and Paul had the most amazing reception. Filled with beautiful (and delicious) desserts and food, tons of dancing and a lot of love. We even were able to sneak in a photo with Beatriz's host family. This is the family that took in Beatriz when she first came to the states which made the day all the more emotional and memorable. A beautiful first dance moment between Paul and his dad, along with a first dance moment between Paul's dad and Beatriz. After that the dance floor opened up and let me just say, it was l-i-t. The perfect bang to an absolutely perfect day with Beatriz and Paul.
