Brooke & Hunter

No, you are not experiencing deja vu. You may recognize Brooke and Hunter from their engagement session that I shot a while back. These two have the most radiating and goofy personalities (in the best way possible) and I just knew that their wedding day was going to reflect that to a T.

getting ready & first looks

Brooke and Hunter got ready and married at Clearwater Place Events in Michigan. As soon as I arrived, I went to go meet up with Hunter and his groomsmen. Come to my surprise when I walk into their getting-ready space to find them doing yoga. Not something you get to see every day, but I was definitely not mad at it. More people should do yoga on the morning of their wedding, right? During their time getting ready, the boys were definitely being themselves, acting goofy, and really making light of such a joyous occasion.

Brooke and her bridesmaids all wore these blue satin matching PJ's and really spent the morning having fun. Which honestly, is what your wedding day is all about. Brooke, Hunter, and their wedding party definitely knew how to have a good time, so we definitely were not lacking in that department.

After getting ready, it was time for Brooke to join in on her first looks. Brooke looked like an absolute queen in her dress and it was apparent based on her father's reaction during their first look. Brooke and Hunter also chose to have a first look and trust me when I say... there were tears.

PORTRAITS

As I mentioned before, it was really important for these two to have their wedding portraits be a reminder of them and their goofy and fun personalities. While of course, they both loved the perfectly poised photos, capturing the candid moments between them was much more important.

CEREMONY & RECEPTIOn

The ceremony was very special as many kind words were exchanged from Hunter and his groomsmen. You could just tell how much everyone who attended their wedding love and cared for both Hunter and Brooke and the moment was just so pure and genuine.

For the reception space, it was transformed from their ceremony spot to a larger space for the guests to part-ay. The dance floor was definitely bumping and everyone brought out their dancing shoes, that's for sure. To end the night, Brooke and Hunter had a glow stick tunnel. Which for some of you don't know, is a great alternative to sparkler exits! However, I recommend grabbing glow sticks similar to these right here. That way they are large, in charge and make a dramatic impact to your wedding exit that gives that little extra *oomph*.
