Downtown Detroit Elopement

There is no "right way" when it comes to getting married because that day is all up to you! Elopements are a great way to step outside the "traditional" scope of weddings and do something fun, unique and more intimate. Elopements can take place in the mountains, on the beach, in your backyard, you name it! With that being said, elopements don't always have to be anything "extraordinary" or have to be an "adventure elopement" for it to be special - it can even be something as amazing and fun as longboarding along the streets of Downtown Detroit.

Nadia & Mitchell radiated positivity and happiness during the entirety of their session. They were constantly giggling and just an overall amazing couple to photograph. It was a warm September day and you could see us running the streets of Downtown Detroit (doesn't get any better than this, right?). In fact, we were having so much fun that even a group of people on a pedaling bar on wheels passed by us and began BLASTING music! Naturally, Nadia & Mitchell took a pause from our shoot to take a dance break. It was such a fun shoot and it really did let Nadia & Mitchell's personalities shine through.

At the end of the day we walked away confident knowing that we got great shots and had such a blast doing it. This shoot proves that your elopement doesn't need to be anything "epic" or "out of this world" in order for it to be special. Something as simple as holding hands with your partner, laughs & giggles, taking mid-shoot dance breaks and running through the streets of Downtown Detroit can be equally as intimate, freeing and unique. Remember that your wedding day is all about you and your partner and getting to spending time together and celebrate love.
