Taylor, Alex + Noodles
If I'm being honest, when it was time for this session I was having a BUNCH of emotions running through me. Excited, nervous and everything in between and would you like to know why? Taylor is an incredibly talented Detroit wedding photographer (Taylor Sumner Photography) and I am completely obsessed with her work. When Taylor asked me to take her photos with her, her husband, Alex, and their dog, Noodles, I felt completely honored. It totally was a "pinch me am I dreaming" type moment.
Chill Couples Session
For this session, we wanted a really open space for Noodles to run around, so we went to Jack N. Abernathy Park in Davison, Michigan. Taylor and her husband were complete naturals in front of the camera. I mean I've seen photos of them together before, but as soon as I would tell them to pose they were able to do it 10x better than what I could have imagined. They were so cute and fun together and made photographing them such a blast. Also, can we talk about these outfits? Oftentimes whenever people are coming to a session, I normally recommend to play it safe. Neutral colors and make sure there is no crazy patterns or colors to distract from the photos. However, when Taylor and Alex came for the session they did not come to play! Alex had such a fun and unique outfit while Taylor had a much more simple yet cute outfit, which led to them complimenting each other perfectly! Accompanied on this cute journey was their dog, Noodles! Even though he is only about a year old, this pup has some spunk and really lightened up the mood even more (I didn't even know that was possible LOL).
For the second part of their shoot, Taylor really wanted to take some photos with this vintage bike. Her main goal with this was to have Noodles riding in the front basket, but it ended up being an amazing prop which I loved! I am all for props during your sessions, so feel free to discuss with me different props to incorporate during your shoot because 10/10 times I will be all for it. Towards the end of the session, we really played around with some of my vintage filters that go over my lens which is always my favorite thing. You're really able to get a different vibe and just have fun with different effects which is always a fun time.
Overall, I LOVED every moment of this session. From the outfits that they both chose, to their adorable pup to the vintage bike and their wildly amazing personalities, everything turned out to be so amazing. I feel so honored to have been there to photograph Taylor, Alex and the adorable Noodles and this session truly reignites the fire and creativity within me!
