As an elopement photographer there is no where I would rather capture than the Wasatch Mountains. Alta Mountain Cabin

This Airbnb at the base of the Alta ski resort has the charm of times past, with the updated amenities we expect today. With a gas fireplace and a hot tub you will be able to unwind from both your elopement and a day on the slopes. A couple things to note, any visitors need to be mobile as the front door is about a 100 ft walk, and you will need all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.  Which is precisely why this photographer drives a jeep!


Alta Ski Area is one of the oldest ski resorts in the United States and was founded in 1938. The resort has a unique ski culture that is deeply rooted in tradition and history, with a focus on providing a pure and authentic skiing experience. One of the notable features of Alta is that it is one of the few ski resorts in North America that only allows skiers - snowboarding is not permitted at the resort.

The resort has over 2,000 acres of skiable terrain, with a vertical drop of over 3,000 feet. The terrain is diverse, with runs for all skill levels, including beginner-friendly areas, challenging moguls, and powder-filled bowls.


One of the standout features of Deer Valley is its attention to detail, particularly when it comes to grooming. The resort has a reputation for having some of the best-groomed runs in North America, with over 21 high-speed lifts to whisk skiers up the mountain. A renovated pioneer cabin, this Airbnb has so much character. The farthest option from the slopes on this list, it comes with added privacy and the ability to host 12 guests, as well as the lowest price tag. With large indoor and outdoor spaces you can host or larger bridal party or immediate family with plenty of room to spread out, making it worth the 30 minute drive to Park City.


Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort are two ski resorts that merged in 2015 to create the largest ski resort in the United States. The combined resort is now called Park City Mountain, and it covers over 7,300 acres of skiable terrain, making it a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders from around the world.


Park City Mountain is located in Park City, Utah, just 30 minutes from Salt Lake City. The resort has over 300 ski runs, 41 lifts, and eight terrain parks, providing a wide range of terrain for skiers of all levels. The resort has a vertical drop of over 3,200 feet, and the highest peak reaches over 10,000 feet in elevation.


Both Park City Mountain and Canyons Resort offer a range of winter activities, such as snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and ice skating. The resorts are also located in Park City, which is a charming mountain town with a vibrant arts and culture scene, excellent dining options, and plenty of shopping.
