Angela & Fred

Angela and Fred had their wedding day at Addison Oaks, The Buhl Estate. This estate dates back over 100 years ago and is surrounded by so much greenery and beauty. It's intricate and historical decor made for the perfect wedding location for Angela and Fred's Fall Estate Wedding.

getting ready & first look(s)

When I first arrived, Angela was just finishing up getting ready. She was spending some good quality time with her bridesmaids before putting on her insanely beautiful high neckline dress. Prior to all of the fun festivities of the day, Angela did a first look with her dad and it was quite an emotional one. You know I always rave about first looks and how it can be such an impactful moment on your wedding day but honestly looking at these photos do you blame me?? We then snuck Angela away to meet up with her groom-to-be, Fred, for their first look. These beautiful ferns and white wall behind them really gave off those Mexico type feels... except for the pine trees. Let's just forget that they are there - hahaha!

fall estate wedding

Before the ceremony, Angela and Fred really wanted to take some portraits so we snuck them away to an open field. The sun was peaking in through the trees so perfectly and it gave us some AMAZING sun flares. They were just so bubbly and fun and truly were a blast to take photos with. Oftentimes it can be difficult to get in front of the camera and act "normal" but trust me when I tell you Angela and Fred did it right - yassss.

We checked the time and realized it was time for the ceremony! Before all of the final preparations took place, we had a bit of time to spare for some solo portraits of Andrea. She looked absolutely amazing as we played around with the light coming in through the windows and the different shadows. Ugh, these are seriously some of my favorites! Of course, then it was time for Angela and Fred to say their I do's and get the show on the road and that's what happened! In a beautiful outdoor ceremony, these two surrounded by their closest family & friends pledged their love together and officially tied the knot. I know, I know... I'm crying too!

wedding portraits

After the ceremony, we snuck off once more with Angela and Fred as the sun was setting to take a few more wedding portraits. The character and architecture of The Buhl Estate really shined throughout these photos and it completely transported us into a different world. I highly would recommend if you are looking for a wedding venue in Michigan, to check out Addison Oaks, The Buhl Estate. This wedding in particular I was second shooting for Taylor Simon Photo. Taylor is a Detroit based wedding photographer and Angela & Fred's wedding was the first time we met! We ended up realizing we shared a lot of the same ideas and styles, so we instantly decided then and there to become friends. I even blogged all about her and her husband, Jonah's, couples session too! To read all about that, click here!

We spent the rest of the night dancing the night away, having a lot of drinks and soaking up all of the good energy that filled the room.
